I love these guards, great quality and craftmenship.

This is my second Gator Grip hand guard install. First Gator Grip went on an Armalite AR 10 rifle build. Recently I decided to build an M4 style 16" barrel mid-length gas system 7.62x39 upper with an AR Stoner SS barrel. There was no second guessing which floating handguard would be installed. It makes a great medium weight barreled carbine into a reasonably light weight .30 cal. carbine. Equivalent to my first Gator Grip install, everything fit perfectly and is light weight yet extremely ridged. The Gator Grip is incredibly customizable to fit nearly any need. Add the top rail for a full length rail system if you so desire, add short rails for light, laser, or other accessories. The machined in QD swivel receptacles are an added bonus. I build my first AR15 back in 1991. I have built a lot of AR's since and have used a lot of different handguard systems, floating and non-floating. The Apex Gator Grip system is a fine culmination of many years trying different varieties of handguard systems.

This is my second Apex handguard. First one is in a Mega Maten build. Got a great deal on black Friday. So nice I bought it twice! Fits solid and the machining on it is impeccable. If youre looking for a great handguard, don't hesitate.

I have used many of the rifle length handguards, and they are simply the best in the market. Easy but solid installation, terrific grip surface, adaptable, and great looks. This mid-length, and top rail are of the same quality I have come to expect from Apex. My ONLY complaint is that occasionally the anodizing process puts a slight purple cast to the coloring. There customer service is second to none thanks in no small part to Lisa! Keep up the great work!

As the headline indicates I am about to assemble my first AR which is an 18" 6.8 SPC Bison barrel and Spikes lower plus the Apex 2200 handguard. First impressions of the 2200 product and accessories is EXCELLENT. Perfect manufacturing quality, fit and finish. Extremely light weight. A close friend is probably buy one for his 2-year old AR also.

I have medium hands and these handguards feels great! The checkering give excellent positive tactile control. I just got my second one, and will be putting them on all my future AR builds.

For me this is about the perfect handguard for my 16" mid; stable, adaptable, and with good, but not excessive texture. I also like the diameter, which allows a good grip for my paws, another plus for not having a full top rail. I've added an IWC light mount, and an AFG2 directly to this handguard, with no problems. Easy installation (read the instructions), seems durable, and, IMO, good looking. I've ordered another.
