THIS TOP RAIL ONLY MOUNTS TO THE 12 O'CLOCK POSITION ON THE  308 DPMS/AR10 ArmaLite Ext. Rifle Length

August 2009 DPMS changed the height of the top rail on the LR308 upper receiver. To properly match your LR308 upper receiver, measure the barrel's centerline to the top fo the rail receiver.
POST August 2009 model is 1.253"
