August 2009 DPMS changed the height of the top rail on the LR308 upper receiver. To properly match your LR308 upper receiver, measure the barrel's centerline to the top of the rail receiver.

Great top rail for S&W M&P10

I added the 2550 handguard to my M&P 10 a couple of years ago but kept my railed gas block so I didn't really need a top rail. I recently changed my optic setup and needed some additional space so I added the 2715 top rail. The rail itself is very nicely machined and lines up perfectly with the upper receiver rail. The provided screws are very deeply recessed for the supplied hex wrench so there was no risk of the driver slipping due to a shallow recess. The machining on the screw and handguard threads is very clean and the screws mated perfectly without any cross threading or binding. Fit and finish is top notch and the overall quality is very high.

Bought this for my 2550 308 DPMS 9.18" Mid Length tube. It matches up to the newer low profile DPMS uppers perfectly. I wish it went to the end of the FF tube, but it stops about a 1/2 short of the end. This matches up to where the grip panels stop, so it's not a big deal....rather more of a personal preference. Very well machined, nice finish, and clean edges all around. Looks good, fits good, and doesn't break the bank. Thanks for a great product.
